Saym

Overview

The Agriculture & Cooperatives Support programme falls under the Project Management Office (PMO) unit. The purpose of the unit is to identify projects within the organisation that can be scaled up or replicated at a larger scale through proper resourcing including provision of experts, tools and materials of trade.

SAYM work has synergy within sites where there is more than one programme implemented, for instance EPWP projects within CWP should share resources and personnel as well have collaborative sharing of inputs. W&R Seta graduates are able to add value to both CWP, Agrarian and EPWP initiatives including profiling and fundraising.

Agricultural Development is a KEY deliverable of the PMO unit. Planning for impactful agricultural delivery can create sustainable livelihoods, enterprising in communities as well expansion of job creation from temporal unsustainable to predictable and sustained jobs within communities. Working with various stakeholders across the provinces where SAYM is already implementing projects, the programme leverages on existing partnerships through a concept of a shared economy to achieve maximum impact
